Michael Laxton is General Manager, Brand, Digital & Design at Coles. Michael is responsible for brand, media and audiences across customer marketing, digital marketing and technology, content, sponsorships, events and marketing transformation at one of Australia’s most iconic and trusted brands.


With over 15 years’ experience across international markets, Michael has led customer teams across numerous industries, including retail, publishing, music and entertainment. Most recently Michael was Chief Marketing Officer at Fairfax Media, leading brand, audiences, subscriptions and trade marketing across Australia’s biggest news and lifestyle brands, including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Australian Financial Review and Good Food.
